McALLEN, Texas – Zoës Kitchen will host the launch of the RGV Food Bank Empty Bowls Mobile Paint Party from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 3400 W. Expressway 83, Bldg. 700, Suite 700 in McAllen.

The RGV Food Bank invites the public to join the first mobile paint party of the season. The paint party will be held outdoors on the Zoës Kitchen patio with a $10 donation to cover the costs of materials and supplies. All supplies will be provided.

All painted bowls will be used for the RGV Food Bank’s biggest fundraiser of the year, Empty Bowls. This year, RGV Food Bank is thrilled to add Empty Bowls – Lower Valley Brownsville Edition to their calendar. Empty Bowls – Lower Valley Brownsville Edition will take place on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Brownsville Market Square. The RGV Food Bank Luncheon and Silent Auction will be held on October 18, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Bert Ogden Arena and will celebrate its 16and Birthday. With the purchase of a ticket to either Empty Bowls event, attendees will be able to choose a hand-painted ceramic bowl as a souvenir. The bowls serve as a reminder to those facing hunger and RGV.
