RSBA Hosts ‘Rapid Networking’ Event | Business

Local businesses had the opportunity to get to know each other in a unique way on Thursday.

The Radcliff Small Business Alliance hosted a speed networking event at Lincoln Trail Golf Club in Vine Grove. Business owners sat down with each other for a few minutes to talk about their business and ask questions about each other.

Cecilia Jones, owner of Capture Creative Images photography studio in Radcliff, said she had heard of the event and thought it would be a good way to see what the RSBA had to offer after hearing positive feedback on other RSBA events.

“I’ve heard from other companies around me talking about their participation in these events and some of the opportunities they’ve been able to gain from it,” she said. “For me, it’s a first experience that allows me to see if it’s really a path that I want to take.”

Jones said she has been in business at Radcliff since 2013.

“It’s something I have to consider, especially as I’m located in Radcliff,” she said of her RSBA membership.

She said she was interested in getting to know other surrounding business owners and learning how they could cooperate, even outside of the business world.

“I hope it will give me the opportunity to learn a lot about the people around me and the things they do or don’t do,” she said. “Maybe it could even lead to working together on community projects.”

RSBA’s Selena Hudson said the event was a huge success.

“We connected on every level,” she said in a Facebook post after the event.

The event was a new experience on the Connect sessions regularly scheduled by the RSBA.
