The first-ever “Back to Roost” celebration kicked off with a few events on Friday, June 10 at Marshall.

Registration for Marshall High School alumni took place at the high school on Friday, June 10. By 4 p.m., unofficially 275 alumni had registered. Memorabilia from MHS are also on display. Registration will continue from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, in the music room.

Many classic cars have been entered to participate in the Rusty Wilder Memorial Cruise. A Marshall Fire Department truck led a motorcade of classic cars, trucks and a few motorcycles on the cruise, which began just after 6 p.m.

The bulk of the events are scheduled for Saturday, June 11, including golf and tennis rallies at Indian Foothills Park and a 5k/2k walk that begins at the Salt Fork YMCA in the morning; a luncheon of retired Marshall Public Schools teachers at noon at Bueker Middle School; a Block Party in Marshall Square starting at 4 p.m. :30h

A “Night Owl” breakfast is provided from 11:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. at Bud’s Café.
