GreenSeam Brings Back Its Annual Farming Event Celebration

MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) – GreenSeam will host its third Ag Celebration event on July 21.

Just before the MoonDogs game, GreenSeam and local agriculture leaders will talk about successful talent, education and networking opportunities in the food and agriculture industry.

About 15-20 companies will have tents near the entrance to the ISG field to talk about their engagement with GreenSeam and the surrounding agricultural area.

According to GreenSeam director Sam Ziegler, the event is an opportunity for anyone who wants to get involved in regional agriculture.

“Looking to connect across the entire food and agriculture ecosystem and supply chain, this is the event that is the only one available here in our region. You can also have fun with it. So hope to see you,” said GreenSeam director Sam Ziegler.

There will be seven speakers associated with GreenSeam, Mankato West High School, Southern Agricultural Center of Excellence and Christensen Farms.

“We’re going to have all the way to the start of farming. Christensen Farms is going to be here with pigs, and you get a chance to talk to them and if you ask them a question, they’re going to donate a pound of pork to the Food Shelf,” Ziegler said.

All participants must have tickets.

Tickets are $25 per person and include unlimited food and drink, plus a seat at the Mankato MoonDogs vs. Minnesota Mud Puppies game.
