GOP offering freebies. Message Republican Party as a wacky party & then…

Democracy for America CEO Yvette Simpson appeared on This Week and defended herself by neutralizing naysayers with the message that Democrats must relay.

Yvette Simpson presented the winning message.

Yvette Simpson is one of the most eloquent representatives of the progressive message, especially the message that appeals to most Americans. Unfortunately, twice often, she doesn’t have the space and leeway on these news programs dominated by corporate and neoliberal messages.

Today was a different day for Simpson. She used three of her four main locations on the panel to be clear and concise. She didn’t waste any of it. She had three important stories.

Asked what the abortion victory meant, she extended it to a full judicial press by Democrats. They must play in rural, urban and suburban areas.

“I think Kansas is the exact opposite,” Yvette Simpson said. “It shows that it was an issue that people were OK with. And when we get on the ground, and we organize voters in a red state across the state, in cities, rural areas and suburbs, people show up. And so, unfortunately for the Republicans, unfortunately for us, if we continue on this same path if we make abortion the access to the question. We might actually have enough energy to do that.

Simpson then points out that Democrats cannot rely on the massive new semi-progressive bill, the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA)because there is too little for the average poor and middle class citizen.

“I think the reality is that we continue to debate whether there’s inflation, whether we’re in a recession, and if you just ask people, they’re struggling,” Simpson said. “And I don’t know if the IRA will make it. … People are still suffering. The babysitter was not there. Paid holidays were not there. We still have problems with wages. People still feel the pain. And if the problem at the polls is, do you think we’re in a recession, we’re going to lose on that? Do you have the impression that there is inflation? We are going to lose it. We have to make sure that we show the American people that we are doing everything we can to keep them safe. And a small victory over gas prices and a climate bill right now won’t get us all the way. »

And then Simpson struck the knockout blow. The Republicans gave the Democrats a gift.

“Republicans are giving us gifts in the form of election deniers and people with mile-long rap sheets,” Simpson said. “You have Dr Oz, you have Herschel Walker, you have JD Vance – these people who don’t relate to people in their condition can’t connect with anyone. And people don’t trust them. And I think we were very lucky on the other side. We’ve got some strong candidates going up against them with Raphael Warnock and John Fetterman and, you know, others. So I think we have to make sure that’s the story, not necessarily how people feel. But the alternative is a Republican party that doesn’t believe in elections storming the Capitol on Jan. 6. These people who are abusers and this problem with Marjorie Taylor Greene praying with a guy in a cell. I mean, the Republican Party is a wacky party. The alternative is that you have to go with the Democrats.

Yvette Simpson nails it. Every progressive and democrat must consider everything, modify the edges to fit their district and achieve victory to save our democracy. We may not have optimal progressive candidates in all races, but we do know that they all believe in at least the minimal form of democracy.
