All upcoming first-party PlayStation games

Sony relies heavily on its large collection of first-party titles to sell its platform. It has been doing this since the PlayStation 1 and will continue to do so even in this generation. The ninth generation console, PlayStation 5, is less than a year old and we have already released many AAA exclusive titles, from Return for Demon’s Souls Remake for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and more. The giant game publisher has more to come, the titles of which we’ve mentioned below:

Forbidden Horizon West

The sequel to the surprise hit, Horizon Zero Dawn , is only a few months away. The game will launch on PS4 and PS5 on February 18, 2022. The sequel takes Aloy to the dangerous lands of the forbidden west. His goal is to find the source of a plague that kills everything it touches.

Gran Turismo 7

Sony has released at least one Gran Turismo game in every generation. It won’t be any different this time either. Gran Turismo 7 is the next title in the long-running franchise and is set to launch on March 4, 2022, for both PS4 and PS5. It’s the only one GT game to arrive on both previous and current generation consoles.

God of War Ragnarök

God of War Ragnarök is arguably the most anticipated game on the list. This is the sequel to the critically acclaimed film God of War (2018). The game continues Kratos and Atreus’ journey after Ragnarok begins. The sequel will launch on PS4 and PS5 in 2022. No actual release date has yet been revealed.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Okay, the previous games on the list were coming next year. But this one is quite far. Spiderman 2 will release exclusively on PS5 in 2023, assuming there are no major delays. The games will have both Peter Parker and Miles Morales, and one of the villains, Venom.

Marvel’s Wolverines

Marvel’s Wolverines is also in the distant future. The game is developed by Insomniac Games, the same developer behind Spiderman 2. It is currently in development and will be released after the Spider Man the game is at the door. So don’t expect it to release until at least 2024. The game was announced at the recent PlayStation Showcase event via a cinematic trailer.

So what do you think? Which of these games are you most excited about? Have you bought your PlayStation 5 yet? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
